The object of this paper is to become acquainted with the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It consists of three sections. The first section of your paper is a review of the five texts upon which Chinese Medicine is based. Each page of your paper should contain a separate book or reference. Remember, APA style should be followed or the paper will not be considered complete. Each week post about ONE of the following books: (titles are in the current English language translation) 1. Huang Di Nei Jing (Huang Ti Nei Ching) 2. Mai Jing (Mo Ching) 3. Nan Jing 4. Shang Han Lun 5. Ben Cao Gang Mu (Pen Tsao Kang Mu) Give the background and contents of each book, including the author, revisers, what it contains, and why it is essential to Chinese Medicine.300-400 words for each page is recommended Section Two: Post to Canvas week eight Describe in brief detail the Eight Branches of Chinese Medicine. Include an explanation of each and their importance in the practice of Chinese Medicine. Each branch is a new page in your paper. Please be aware that some texts may use different terms or grouping of modalities as they list the eight modalities. Pirog, J., for example, lists: 1. Acupuncture and moxibustion 2. Exercise 3. Massage 4. Nutrition 5. Chinese Astrology 6. Geomancy (Feng Shui) 7. Meditation or Qi Gong 8. Chinese Herbology Think about the differences in terminology as you investigate other sources on the history of TCM.
