Explain the purpose of your Number Talk (the skill you are hoping to help students work on/what you want them to be thinking more about as a result of your number talk).
State a sequence of 3 problems you will pose in the order you will present them. If you use dot cards, rekenreks, or ten frames, you must show an illustration of your model.
3. Anticipate and record at least 3 ways students might solve each problem.
