The purpose of this exercise is to help you learn to analyze the flow and connection of the ideas you present in your writing. You will conduct the analysis by using tools identified in Chapter Four. First, locate a journal article that reports qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods research.(focus on articles of organizational leadership) Then, write a summary paper (approximately one page) related to that article that demonstrates an examination of the introduction. Finally, identify the flow of ideas from sentence to sentence and then from paragraph to paragraph by using the hook-and-eye method and marking up a hard copy of your summary accordingly.
