or situation the writer is responding to)? What is the context (social, historical, etc.):
What is the author saying (message, purpose)? How is he or she saying it (rhetorical
strategies)?
Youll be making an argument about why the writer wrote the piece in a specific way.
Remember to include a brief summary of the article after your introduction and thesis statement
