You can use any event/incident that you think you can apply the assessment criteria to. This can be a high impact-low frequency event/incident, or a low impact-high frequency event/event. The incident itself is somewhat irrelevant. Fundamentally, this assignment relates to Clinical Governance processes; namely having transparent reporting and investigation processes in place which allow us to learn from incidents/events, and implementing measures to minimize and prevent future similar events/incidents. In doing so, reflecting that organizations? and leaders are accountable for the services/care they provide.
