women writers
of the antebellum period genderize African
American life in pre-Civil War America. In an essay, compare and contrast how
two African American women authors or orators write (or speak) their experience
into literature. What makes their literature similar or dissimilar to their male
counterparts literature? What makes their work unique, if anything?
