The literature review must provide a sound basis for the you or your team to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the industry project topic or theme as this will be the basis from which you will analyse current practice in the industry partners organization and identify opportunities for practice improvement.It is suggested that the review of industry better practice be undertaken in four steps:1.Disaggregate the project topic or theme into subthemes.2.Locate the relevant scholarly information from library data bases, peer reviewed journal articles and scholarly texts (do not rely on Google as your search engine).3.Evaluate the information you assemble and select only the most directly relevant literature (e.g. a study of employees in a petroleum refinery in Africa may not be generalized and applied to a non-for-profit service organization in Australia so eliminate that type of literature).4.Write a succinct and logical presentation of the key theories, and concepts evaluating only the most relevant of the research sources reviewed.Your literature review must include an Introduction Section, a Discussion Section and a Findings and Conclusions Section. The finding part of the Section tells the reader what you found from the research literature. The conclusion part of the Section tells the reader what the significance of the findings are for the industry partners organization in relation to the theme or topic being examined.All the literature reviewed must be cited in a Reference List attached to the assignment, using either the Harvard or APS Referencing System,and all literature in the Reference List must be cited appropriately in-text.
