You are required to write a detailed literature review of current scholarship (status quaestionis) on the selected research topic “An establishment on the reason as to why there has been so little progress in the use of Gregorian chant in the worship of the local Roman Catholic Parish.” Your literature review should summarise current research on the topic and identify the gap or new insights that your research will contribute. Please refer to the “Writing Guide: Literature Review” and ensure you fully understand it. This guide has the all the elements and criteria to write an effective literature review. Also attached is the “Research Proposal” that was written you earlier. Please refer to this too. Please inform me if you require me to reattach any sources that you utilised for the “Research Proposal.” I will also attach 2 sample literature reviews (if that helps). As well as that, I will also attach “Style guide for referencing” – please refer to that in order to ensure accuracy when referencing.
