You will follow The Research Proposal section of your textbook as presented on pages 89 to 101 of the text, to write a proposal to study any subject related to your work or professional interest. Please note: You are supposed to PROPOSE a research project, not actually conduct one. That would be outside the scope of an 8 week course. The bulk of your effort should be dedicated to the section on Methods and Procedures (pg. 95). IGNORE the Budget section. That is the focus of other HSAD courses; it is not as relevant for this assignment. A Grading Rubric for the proposal will be posted on Canvas. The research proposal may be one that you will pursue in the workplace, but that is not required. PRIOR research already conducted cannot be used to satisfy the requirements of this assignment. Throughout the semester, you will develop a research question and describe the methods you will use to address that question. An example of such a research question might be: Do nurses at Magnet Hospitals report higher job satisfaction than nurses at similar sized non-Magnet Hospitals? Your paper should be 12 to 18 pages long–not including summaries and appendices (in the appropriate APA style with Times New Roman, 12-pt font).
