Find the thesis statement, and determine if it is effective. Does it follow the guidelines for an effective thesis statement, which you read about in the Exploration section? Why or why not? How does the speaker use the thesis to reveal something about their identity and also to drive the story? What works to make the thesis effective?Think: After you have spent some time analyzing the video and brainstorming for your own essay, create a working thesis for your identity narrative essay. Use your analysis of the example thesis statement to help you create an effective working thesis of your own.Write: In your initial post, identify the thesis of one of the videos. Discuss the effectiveness of the thesis statement for that video using some of the questions outlined above. Finally, include your thesis statement for your identity narrative essay. Be sure your thesis is clear and specific.Post one original post, and reply to at least two of your classmates.
