Book Report-Winner Take All: The elite charade if changing the world -The book Winners Take All provides a real world example of how many of the techniques and tools in marketing have been used to influence public opinion for political and economic gain. You are asked to do a critical analysis of the book using the concepts discussed in Scarcity, Predictably Irrational, and Consumer Behavior. The main purpose of this assignment is for the student to show they understand the concepts presented in the course and can apply them to real world situations. Through you writing you should be able to demonstrate that you can: -Explain the various steps that consumers use in the decision-making process. -Analyze consumer behavior involved in the selection, purchase, use, and choice of products or services. -Write clearly and concisely about consumer dynamics in the marketplace and apply related information and personal experiences to course concepts. -Evaluate how personality, lifestyle, and attitude impact buyer behavior and influence marketing practices. -Explain defensive tactics that consumers can take in response to ethical and social responsibility violations in advertising and promotion and how they can be overcome. -Explain sound consumer decision-making in the current economic environment. -Write effectively about exploitations and other issues that take place in the marketplace with respect to the legal and regulatory environment, both nationally and internationally. -Compare and contrast evolving concepts related to consumer behavior in the global environment, such as social class, ethnic/racial subcultures, exploitations, age, culture, cultural symbols, values, emerging and changing consumer cultures in transitional economies, and branding. -TURNITIN score must be less than 15% -You may cite additional resources such as journals, trade publications, etc. Remember that the best information usually comes from scholarly works published in peer?reviewed journals. Any materials you find are best published after the year 2000, unless there are historical and/or comparative reasons for using older works.
