Attached is the work done in preparation for this paper. Your task in this project is to articulate your position on a specific social justice question within the topics we consider in this course, and to defend your position by applying two of the ethical theories weve studied. In Week 4 you will submit the social justice question youd like to work with, and you should make sure to choose one that falls under one of the headings we considered in the course: free speech, gender and sexual issues, just war, environment, and medical ethics. (Note – this cannot be the topic you work with in your Week 5 writing assignment.) In Week 6 you will present a brief, short answer overview where you explain how to apply two different theories to reach different answers to your question. In Week 8 you will submit your final project, which should take the form of a formal argument in a 1700 – 2100 word essay. You must make use of at least 4 course resources and at least 4 scholarly sources outside of the course. This project is, in essence, a cumulative final exam, so make sure that it focuses primarily on the ethical theories you learn to apply in the course. Also be sure to make substantial use of course resources on your topic. Outside resources will also be needed to ensure that your reader thoroughly understands your topic question and your position. This assignment is due by the end of the eighth week of class on Sunday by 23:30 ET.
