The difference between right and wrong in regards to morality

dont put your name on it bitch make sure its in MLA use the words an intellectual might use but make a spelling mistake somewhere they can tell im illiterate lemme give you the prompt hold up
Morality: If you focus on right and wrong as understood in morality, you should focus on fundamental ideas of right and wrong. Include some consideration of where you think ideas of right and wrong come from. Should people refer to religious belief in determining what is right and wrong, or do you think that religious belief is unnecessary or even counter-productive in determining what is morally right and wrong? Further consider whether, based on your idea of where moral principles should come from, what limitations there should be on the ways that people act or even on the ways that people think.

You should also refer to ideas from at least three of the readings in A World of Ideas, by writers such as Martin Luther King, Hsun Tzu, Kwame Appiah, Carol Gilligan, Plato, John Rawls, Philip Kitcher, Iris Murdoch, Judith Butler, and/or Michael Gazzaniga. You may also include ideas from one or more of the essays from earlier in the semester or essays that were not assigned from A World of Ideas, such as essays by Thomas Jefferson, Aristotle, Milton and Rose Friedman, or Lao-Tzu. To cite quotations or ideas from the readings, make sure to cite the authors name. It is not necessary to mention the name of the book. Put page numbers for quotations in parentheses after the quotation. When you include ideas from these readings, you can use them in any way that you like. Feel free to agree or disagree with any of them. You may also include information from research. If you include information that is not from the textbook, make sure that you cite the source or sources for that information. Try to use MLA format correctly in citing sources. Errors in using MLA format will not affect your grade for the essay, but I will mark your essay to show any mistakes in using MLA format.

Structure of the Essay:

Begin your essay with a specific example, which you analyze in terms of what you think is right or wrong in regards to that example. It is better to use an actual example than a hypothetical example. The best kind of example is one in which what is right and wrong may not be immediately clear to everyone. Include enough details with this example so that it is clear exactly what happened in this case and so that the moral or ethical implications involved can be considered. Finish this example with a clear understanding of what you believe to be right or wrong in regard to this example. Again, dont simply assert that there can be different opinions about what is right or wrong. Clearly explain what you think is right or wrong and at least a basic explanation of why.

Follow your example with a more general discussion of right and wrong that apply to situations of the same type as your example. Derive a clear set of principles of right and wrong from this initial example which you can then apply to your understanding of right and wrong under principles of justice, ethics, or morality. Use ideas from the reading assignments from A World of Ideas and/or from research to explain what these principles are and where they come from. In using these ideas, feel free to agree or to disagree with any of them.

Apply the principles that you derived from your initial example to at least one other example. Include at least one other detailed example to illustrate how your understanding or right and wrong can be applied in a somewhat larger variety of situations. Examples can be drawn from any current or recent controversy dealing with ideas of justice or morality or equality, such as controversies involving voting rights, racial profiling, homosexual rights, prayer in school, or any other controversy that comes up during group discussion or class discussion. Make sure that at least one of your examples comes from a relatively recent event so that your understanding of right and wrong does not seem merely historical in nature but can be applied to situations in the world today.

Music as An Aspect of Culture

I was born and raised in the US and have lived here all my life. I have been studying Spanish for several years and in the process have listened to much Latin music of many genres.Music is part of life. Animal calls are a form of music. All cultures have music in some form. However, music plays different roles in different cultures. Some societies have a corpus (body) of traditional music and songs. Traditional songs, as used here, are songs that have been passed from generation. When someone says, my grandmother used to sing that to me, this is a form of songs being made traditional. The interest in or popularity of traditional songs can be enhanced when new releases are made of old songs.I made a list of traditional Mexican music off the top of my head. To be sure that the songs had survived through several generations, I limited my list to songs that had been released before 1960. The list had about 30 songs. I did some research on the popularity of the songs and reduced my list to about 15 songs. Most of the songs are from the 40s and 50s. Included in that period is the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema and several of the songs are from films. Then I tried to make a list of traditional American songs and realized how few of them there are. There are a few patriotic songs that are considered traditional, but few songs from the 40s and 50s remain alive today. I am not through collecting my data, but my conclusion is that traditional songs play a greater role in Mexican culture than in American culture. They provide an identity to the Mexican people.Note that Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen is not old enough to be called traditional. I suspect that it enough of an anthem that it eventually could.I also have some personal examples (including pictures) of traditional music at Mexican social gatherings. I won’t take time to enumerate them here.I will also mention that at a party in the US, music tends to be background music. In Mexico, music is an active part of the party. Someone will have brought a guitar and eventually it will be taken out and people will begin to sing songs including traditional songs. And sometimes Mariachi bands will have been contracted to perform. And when they do, everybody will join and you may even hear some “gritos” (shouts of enjoyment). What we have in the US is what I will call the oldies phenomenon. People that wish to continue hearing music from their youth can find it on an oldies radio station. But the music is constantly changing. During the 70s, the oldies stations were playing music from the 50s and 60s. During the 80s, the oldies stations were playing music from the 60s and 70. And so forth. As each generation dies off, the music is lost rather than living on and becoming traditional.I am looking for about 2 pages of information that goes from mating calls to the examples that I will introduce. The question is how does music affect a culture. I will take the information from the two pages and reduce it to 1 to 3 paragraphs. In our discussion of Cheneys article, we addressed the potent idea of disruption as a central objective of the start-ups, tech firms and internet-based behemoths that populate Silicon Valley. Consider the specific disruption caused by the gig economy. Has the rapid expansion of companies like Uber and AirBnB been primarily a creative, positive development, or is disruption in certain ways destructive?

Please choose one of the topics provided below and write a short essay that provides your own view on the topic. Your response should be about 500 words in length. It should be a critical response, in the sense that you are expected to contemplate the topic from multiple angles, then adopt and expand on your own position.
Topics:

2. Machine learning is transforming a considerable number of different industries, from renewable energy to journalism. Examine the role of machine learning algorithms in either the production of art or the advancement of game theory specifically. Is it still important to distinguish between AI-assisted and artificially intelligent forms of artistic production or gameplay? Do you believe that machine learning will force us to reevaluate basic assumptions about where human creativity and decision-making comes from?
3. Podcasting has become a legitimate medium for amateur and professional broadcasters alike to locate and speak to audiences. Analyze the growing popularity of podcasts in relationship to the importance of podcatcher apps like Google Podcasts and the iTunes Store. Are these apps curating content in helpful ways, or in ways that reduce and constrain the number of creative possibilities that podcasting possesses as a digital medium?
