If you send me your essay after the specified due date and time, .3 will be deducted for each 24-hour period after the deadline has elapsed. For example, if your overall grade for the essay based on the grading criteria described in this syllabus would have been a 3.7 but you submitted the essay at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, your overall grade on the essay would drop to a 2.8. No essay will be accepted after Noon on Saturday, September 28.Additional InstructionsYour essaymust be typed and double-spaced, using 1-inch margins and 11-point Times New Roman font or another font of equivalent size.Your essaymust demonstrate your understanding of the relevant course materials, as well as your ability to apply thearguments and ideas from these materials to the questions I have posed. The appropriate length of anessay may vary depending on the problemsposedand the student writing the essay, but you should anticipate that your essaywill run approximately 5 -8pages in length, typed and double-spaced. I wont necessarily penalize a studentfor going either above or below this estimated essay length. However, given the scope of the questions you will have to address, if a specific essay is fewer than 5pages in length your analysis is probably superficial.

Book Analysis. Monkey Girl: Evolution, Education, Religion, and the Battle for Americas Sould

You will read and analyze the book Monkey Girl: Evolution, Education, Religion, and the Battle for Americas Soul by Edward Humes, and write a paper discussing your analysis. The paper is due on September 25, 2019. This assignment should be seven (7) pages in length. The paper must include: (1) a short overview of the book (three to four paragraphs) that provides an explanation of the significance of the main topic; (2) a description of the authors perspective; and (3) an in-depth analysis of the main topic. Your research for your discussion of this issue should take you beyond the book. Your reference list will need to include at least one source other than Monkey Girl. Note that course textbooks are generally not an acceptable source for research projects, so do not rely on our course textbook for your research.

Make your thesis clear and state it at the beginning of your paper. Set out your research in a clear business style using the active voice. Avoid long, vague paragraphs and irrelevant generalizations. Remember to analyze and discuss your findings. Do not jump to a conclusion without explanation.

There should be sub-headers under the three required segments. Times new roman 12 font. Justify text.

Next, you will select one performance improvement methodology such as PDSA/PDCA, Lean or Six Sigma/DMAIC, to apply to your chosen value-based care performance problem.

As part of your research, provide information on the current use of the performance improvement methodology you selected, in healthcare. Has the methodology been found to impact quality and performance in healthcare?
Provide a detailed plan for how you will apply your selected performance improvement methodology to resolve the value-based performance problem.
Consider and explain how informatics and technology may improve performance. This should be specific to the performance problem you selected.

Remember, this is a professional paper. You will need to draw upon your course readings as well as conduct additional research in your investigation. Use conventional grammar, punctuation, mechanics and APA style and formatting. Your paper should flow well and be organized to effectively guide the reader in learning about the topic.
