PROBLEM STATEMENT AND PLAN

In this project, you are asked to apply the course principles to an authentic CQI situation encountered in your organization. The project will be worked on throughout the course and build from this initial problem. You must develop a CQI project that:
Uses the problem solving method of FOCUS-PDCA
Improves a current process
Improves customer service
Is a real project

The project itself does not have to be completed by the end of the course. In other words, it can be a proposal. To successfully complete this assignment, you need to define the problem that you will address in this project. Use the criteria below (Identify Problem) to help with this lesson.

Submit your response to the instructor using the drop box week. Again, your instructor may be helpful in helping you make the decision, so keep the instructor in the loop as you develop this assignment.

IDENTIFY PROBLEM (50 pts)
Definition of the issue or problem to be resolved that, once resolved, will improve the quality of a work process and/or improve customer service in your department. Why you decided it was important to resolve it in the first place.
