There are well-recognized harms from long-term use of benzodiazepines. These include dependency, cognitive decline and falls. It is important to promote awareness of opioid abuse and explore alternative treatments for anxiety in today’s community.The proposal will focus on:1) Advantage and disadvantage of Opioid use in today’s healthcare2) Major barriers that prevent patients from opioid abuse3) Lack of education and awareness of Benzo overuse4) Promote alternative management over Benzo to treat anxiety
