Each student will be required to write a five page term paper (not including a title page, abstract page, and reference page) that describes a psychological disorder from a biopsychosocial perspective. Students will be required to describe the disorder in terms of symptoms, describe biological, psychological, and social causes of the disorder and include information about treatment

The paper must be formatted entirely in APA formatting. This includes a title page with running head, abstract page, and reference page with APA formatted references, in-text citations, 12 point Times New Roman font, 1 inch margins on all sides. A minimum of five scholarly peer reviewed sources must be used to research the information for the paper.

The paper must be written in the students own words. The paper may not contain more than two direct quotes. Each quote must be no more than one full sentence

Symptoms may be described in terms of emotional symptoms, cognitive symptoms, behavioral symptoms, somatic symptoms, and impairment in social and occupational functioning. Biological explanations may include the following: Brain structure and function, genetics, hormones, evolution/natural selection, neurotransmitters (oversupply, under supply, dysfunction) Psychological explanations may include the following: Learning, memory, personality traits, cognition (thought patterns), trauma/stress, emotion/mood Sociocultural explanations may include the following: Gender roles, socioeconomic status, locations (city or rural), school/education, cultural values, poverty Treatment may include medications, cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, group therapy, client centered therapy

Can you please some primary research. What I mean by primary research is that you will use one of the descriptive methods. To actually test the predictions from the theory When you apply Piaget’s theory, We will be using his clinical interview techniques to more directly examine the thinking of a child–For example- present the child with several examples of conservation problems and describe how he or she responded. Also use an observational method to describe, for example, “transductive” reasoning. Note that if you do use a naturalistic observation for Piaget you need to clearly connect the behavior with his stage-related schemes. I do suggest you to combine the two techniques if using Piaget’s theory.

What my teacher said-
You write-up needs to include the following:
A review of piaget’s theory (e.g., stages if it is a stage theory) AND the various developmental issues relevant to understanding that theory’s predictions about development (e.g., does the theory assume continuous or discontinuous development?).
The research method you employed. If you did an interview, discuss the types of questions you asked. If you designed a questionnaire of some sort, please submit it with your paper (as an appendix). Don’t forget to also describe your subjects and why you selected them.
Discuss your findings from your research and analyze whether they support the theory’s predictions. (I know you are just making general inferencesnot one heavy on quantitative data).
Relevant support or criticisms of the theory if it applies to your observations and research discussed either by Berk (2010) or in the web lecturesWe definitely go heavy on criticisms especially with stage theories.
At least one APA citation within the body of your paper (e.g., Berk or a research study)…

so it looks like the group chose to do the project on bullying among preteens and teens. The summary plan is due next week and it has a lot to it that we need to complete. This is not designing the website yet but the written portion. I have sent a google doc that we can all pick a section to work on. Each horizontal line represents the above category that you choose to do. There are 7 sections. I think if each of us pick 2, that will pretty much be good and then whoever does the main paper section will just get that one. I do not mind doing the Evaluate the issue part, which is the 3-4 page part if y’all can pick the remaining sections. If somebody else would rather do that part let me know and I don’t mind doing anything else.
