Describe the objectives and main elements of a CIRT plan.

Description

No longer than a decade ago, IT security professionals had to work hard to persuade organizational leaders about the importance of developing effective risk management plans. Nowadays, due to the plethora of cautionary tales that organizations history provide, business leaders are informed on the need to manage risk and understand the crucial role of an organizations IT infrastructure on its ability to perform business.
A computer incident response team (CIRT) plan can help prepare organizations for incidents that might occur.
Write an eight to ten (8-10) page paper in which you:
Describe the objectives and main elements of a CIRT plan.
Analyze the manner in which a CIRT plan fits into the overall risk management approach of an organization and how it supports other risk management plans.
Provide at least two (2) examples of how CIRT plans define the who, what, when, where, and why of the response effort.
Analyze the manner in which the development of a CIRT plan enables management to adopt a more proactive approach to risk management. Include recommendations for remaining proactive in the continual improvement and update of CIRT plans.
Infer on the evolution of threats over the last decade that organizations must now consider.
Predict the evolution of regulatory requirements mandating risk management processes and plans.
Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the students name, the professors name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

How does this policy or policy issue specifically affect South Florida?

You will have to complete a paper this semester on research articles about policies and policy issues. For each assignment, you will utilize your literature search skills to identify a scholarly article from a peer reviewed journal that focuses on a policy-related topic. You can select any policy topic you find interesting, and the article can focus on an individual policy (i.e. Medicaid, The Older Americans Act) or a policy issue/target population (i.e. low-income families, Nursing home residents).

Once you have selected an article, you will write a minimum of 5 pages report on the article that addresses the following topics/questions:
a. Write a summary of the issue; that includes the policy or policy issue targeted, the research questions used by the researchers, the overall approach to studying this topic (survey of a target population, in-depth interviews, etc.), and their overall findings.

b. What are different perspectives on this policy or policy issue? For example, how may this policy or policy issue affect various groups differently (positively and negatively)?

c. How does this policy or policy issue specifically affect South Florida?
d. How can this article be used to make decisions about policy? For instance, based on the findings from the study, what changes should be made to existing policy or what new policy could/should be created in order to make improvements to current conditions? What would you tell policymakers to do about this issue?

Invent a story in which this natural thing forms or transforms your consciousness of the world and your place in it. Write at least 500 words.

We tend to think the environment is outside. But our identities form, in part, by internalizing symbols and lessons from this outside environment. The sky, the water, mountains, desert, ice, plants and animals are alive in our imaginations. In this query I want you to tell a story about some formative or transformative experience you have had with the specific environment of your birthplace: the more specific, the better. Look for a fish, frog, wasp, tree, volcano, ice floe, or weather pattern that is highly specific and maybe even unique to your region of the world. Study it. Invent a story in which this natural thing forms or transforms your consciousness of the world and your place in it.

Pox Americana: the great smallpox epidemic by elizabeth a. fenn

Your analysis must specifically address each of the following questions:
– How did smallpox make a tangible impact on the British and colonial war efforts?
– Inoculation and immunity provided distinct advantages to those coming in contact with
smallpox. What differences do we see between European soldiers and American colonists in
immunity and inoculation? Why are some groups more willing to accept inoculation than
others? Are there disadvantages?
– How does the spread of smallpox illustrate the continental communication and trade
networks present at this time?
– In considering the smallpox epidemic in the American Revolutionary period, can the groups
involved be divided into winners and losers based on their experiences with the disease?
How might this impact American history moving forward?

Good Evening Everyone,
Writing is Easy by Steve Martin was very delightful to read. However, I did disagree with most of his statements. Location, Location, Location was one of his paragraphs in the essay, Steve Martin suggested that writers should live in California to get the most ideas for a great story. I believe stories comes from within no matter where you are located. Writing should be creative and come from an imagination. Most writers use their stories to help their readers escape from the real world and you cant do that just living in California.

I used Narrator rhetoric mode to identify my prompt because I was able to connect my argument with personal examples. When Steve Martin stated, I would like to recommend that all writers live in California (pg. 114), I instantly disagreed because there are plenty of beautiful places other than California. For example, if I was to right an essay my favorite place would be my kitchen table where I could have access to the fridge. Sitting at the kitchen table helps me think more about what Im writing about than what I want to snack on because my snacks would be right there in front of me.

Another thing I disagree about in Steve Martins essay was when he suggested that writers block was a myth. In my opinion I feel like he contradicted himself a little by saying there was such thing as writers block and that it was an excuse to take a break but turned around and suggested a trick for if writers block was to happen. Steve Martins trick was to go through another authors book and copy down a sentence which should lead to a new sentence and let the rest flow. you can safely use up to three sentences of someone elses work, unless youre friends, then two (pg. 115), to me thats still plagiarism

Writing is easy
I have been a fan of Steve Martin since he appeared on Saturday Night Live in the late 70s. I was a young kid staying up way past my bedtime to watch. I agree with his idea that the best writing or the happiest writing comes from being in the ideal location. I understand that because if I am trying to write and the location is not ideal, I feel as though my writing does not make sense, like I am freewriting. If I am at Starbucks where I usually can be found, I need to have a little bit of noise and crowd movement. That comes from my upbringing in New Jersey where you never could find a quiet place, but too much noise overstimulates me and I become more fascinated about what’s going on around me than writing. Martins ideal writing location is California. He believed writers that lived in places that were cold or dank could not write about anything happy or exciting unless you consider cholera and oozing sores exciting.
I believe Martins prompt is simply that writing should be easy and painless, once you’re in the ideal location. Also, that writers block can be fixed by plagiarizing and alcohol hopefully not at the same time. Initially I believed Martin’s writing form was cause and effect, if you lived in a certain environment you’re writing was affected by the environment. As I continued to listen to the other rhetorical forms, I discovered that Martins form was narrative. Martin gave vivid descriptions and sensory details of looking deeply into a rose while sitting in his rose garden typing on his new computer and enjoying the calming blue sky (Martin, S. 2014).
I agree with Martin that the location where you do your writing is of vital importance. I have my favorite places where I get my work done. I don’t agree that writing is easy or painless writing essays and papers have always been a challenge for me. I feel as though I am a better talker than writer, probably why I was so why was so good in sales. I have been applying the idea of finding the best location to do my school work and writing by trial and error. In closing, I believe instead of looking deep into a rose in my private rose garden, typing on my new computer while looking at the calming blue sky that I’ll sit at in my corner seat at Starbucks smelling my lukewarm overpriced coffee, while typing on my 5 year old computer wondering will I ever get this paper done.
