Students will choose a reality television program that depicts a culture/co-culture unfamiliar to them and view at least five (5) episodes of the program over the course of the term. You will then complete a 5 – 7-page paper analyzing the culture from an ethnographic perspective (See the Nacerima article on D2L). You will objectively address various dimensions of culture, as well as cultural norms, values, beliefs and behaviors, and the media framing of the culture. This assignment will be further discussed in class.
