This assignment is aimed at exploring the influence of culture and diversity factors in shaping child family practices. You will need to do the following: I. Introduction II. Target cultural group: Select a cultural or ethnic group as the focus of this paper. Then, explain the reasons for your selection. III. Discussion on influence of culture in the family: Research the literature and find out about culture and its influence on the family. Locate information on how diversity factors influence: A)family dynamics (interactions among family members, roles and responsibilities) B)Views about the child (practices, who cares for the child, etc.) C)Family goals D)Role and influence of cultural traditions and values IV. Interviews: conduct interviews with at least two families of the same cultural group that you selected. Informally find out about their views about children, culturally-based activities and expectations they have. A)Comment on any individual challenges faced by families and any differences in how they follow culturally-based practices. Include a summary of your findings. V. Reflective comments: Reflect on your findings from the literature and interviews and comment on their implications for practices (how it contribute to expanding knowledge about the family, establishing relationships with families, and to deepen understanding about the role of culture and its influence).
