The purpose of this assignment is develop a predictive analytics information systems model to illustrate the relationship between a predictive goal and associated indicators. Predictive analytics is a general term for using simple and complex models to support anticipatory decision making. Predictive analytics uses many techniques from data mining, statistics, modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, to analyze current data to make predictions about the future, evaluate trends, and enable managers to make decisions that will reduce risk and seek opportunities. Using the eight questions developed in step 1 of the Analytics Life Cycle assignment in Topic 3, develop a predictive analytics information systems model to illustrate the relationship between the predictive goal and associated indicators. Use the “Predictive Analytics” worksheet to address the following for each of the eight questions. You are required to submit this worksheet to the instructor. 1. Identify all attributes (predictive indicators) and appropriate weights for each question. 2. Provide at least two examples (results) of the model that demonstrate the model’s potential predictability. 3. Explain how the results can be used in decision making and driving the organization’s overall strategy.
