An important skill required of you is your ability to convey your thoughts and ideas on a subject. Your role for this assignment is as an economic advisor to Congress. The subject of this paper is International Trade. You may address it generally or with a specific country. Do not address it in a single industry as that is a Microeconomic concern. Given the current economic conditions in the United States, what policies would you recommend? Keep in mind our stated Macroeconomic goals full employment, stable prices and economic growth. Include in your paper an assessment of the current condition of the economy, the issue you are addressing, the policy change you recommend and the expected impact on employment, the price level and real economic growth of your proposal. Research will be necessary to complete this assignment successfully. You must determine the current state of the economy. You should find and incorporate articles and research about the chosen topic. Include both the pros and cons of the issue. Try for a unique policy recommendation. An APA style citations page must be included listing all resources used. An abstract and cover page are not required and will not be included in the grading. I do not expect you to create a total solution, but a concept or framework for a policy. Propose a policy you feel could improve the United States society and economy.
