Health policy advocacy can do conducted on a number of levels by a host of individuals. As DNP prepared advanced practice nurses (APN) you must understand your role in advocating for your profession, and clients. Given all of the change in healthcare proposed by the AHCA and the implementation of the IOM report on the Future of Nursing (reviewed last week as part of your assigned reading) answer the following question for this weeks discussion. Question: Discuss ONE recommendation of the IOM Future Initiative of Nursing Report that as a DNP prepared APN you are willing to advocate for to others outside of nursing as a change in current health policy. NOTE: State why you think the recommendation you choose is important to the nursing profession and what actions/steps you are ready to engage in to advocate for its implementation. Remember to cite literature and other resources to support your perspective.
