For this assignment, you will need to read two primary sources, and a very short introduction on the subject, and then write a primary source analysis that is no less than 3 pages long. First, you need to read the “Summary and Keywords” section of the article entitled Ideas of Race in Early America. (3 paragraphs long). This will serve as a very basic overview for contextual purposes. Second, you need to read Thomas Jefferson’s Racism, 1788. Third, you need to read George Fitzhugh Argues that Slavery is Better than Liberty and Equality, 1854. (Both the Jefferson and Fitzhugh sources can be located in the Primary Source Reader, located in your online textbook, The American Yawp, in chapters 7 and 11 respectively.)After reading these sources, you will use the information learned to answer the following questions, again, in no less than 3 pages, but no more than 4 pages.
