Throughout the book Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for Americas Independence, author Carol Berkin analyzed and assessed the various and complex roles women played in the years preceding and during the Revolutionary War, using the stories of a plethora of women from all walks of life. For your paper, you need to answer the following question: How did women exercise their limited political power through the course of the revolutionary efforts in order to assist whichever side they supported? In your essay, you need to address at least one example from before, during, and after the war, pulling in specific examples from Revolutionary Mothers. The only source you will use for this paper is the book Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for Americas Independence by Carol Berkin. Your essay will be typed, using 12-point Times New Roman (or a comparable) font and 1-inch margins all around. All papers will be double-spaced. Do not skip lines between paragraphs. Your essays will be a minimum of three pages in length. The length will be computed by starting from the first line of writing on the first page and ending with the last line of writing on the last page. Failing to meet page lengths will result in a failing grade.
