The essay should be one to two pages long excluding name and title/topic (typed, double spaced, 12 pt. font) and must contain your thoughts about either 1. how something we covered in class relates to you on a personal level, or 2. how something that you see in the news or on social media relates to a topic that we covered in class.These papers are meant to tie real life experiences to concepts learned in class or from the textbook, while describing them in your own words. You could select a news article, podcast, tv show, movie, life experience, or other source to examine psychological themes. No sources other than the textbook are necessary, but you may use other sources. Essays will be evaluated for clarity, spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, organization of ideas, content, factual accuracy, and relevance to the topic.
