Please write a page paper analyzing and reflecting this week’s readings and materials. Please avoid summarizing, and instead critically reflect on the themes of the readings as well as reflect on it with your opinions. Please engage the articles into your analysis. Please use these 3 articles (2 links and 1 PDF) to do this analysis:Ronald C. Wimberley and William Swatos, Jr. “Civil Religions,” in Encyclopedia of Religion and Society,Link: http://hirr.hartsem.edu/ency/civilrel.htmRhys Williams, “American Religion,” in Encyclopedia of Religion and Society,Link: http://hirr.hartsem.edu/ency/american.htm

Describe three species in each of your ecosystems, including at least one plant and one animal from each.

Resources: Ch. 3 & 4 of Fundamentals of Conservation Biology, the Internet, and the University Library Choose a pair of related aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems to research. Your choices must meet the following criteria: The aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems must be closely associated. For example, a fen (aquatic) in an alpine meadow or forest (terrestrial), an islet (terrestrial) in a marine bay (aquatic), or a river system (aquatic) in a desert (terrestrial) would be appropriate. At least one endangered species, as identified in the IUCN Red List or by a government wildlife or natural resource agency, must be present in one or both of the ecosystems. The pair of ecosystems must be in your local region or in an area of personal significance. Write a 700- to 1,050-word APA Style format paper about the ecosystems you have chosen and the species that make up these ecosystems. Include the following items: Identify and describe the pair of ecosystems. Describe three species in each of your ecosystems, including at least one plant and one animal from each. Evaluate each of these species based on its intrinsic value, its instrumental value, and its uniqueness value. Include at least one endangered species in this description and analysis. Summarize how the components of your ecosystems interact with one another, and explain the value of each ecosystem in terms of its components. Describe how ecosystem diversity and species diversity are related and how each ecosystem relates to the landscape. Cite at least three references.

How do you feel Purnell’s Model of Cultural Competence fits into nursing education?

How do you feel Purnell’s Model of Cultural Competence fits into nursing education? Does it affect the competence of a nurse? Find and summarize a scholarly, peer-reviewed article that informs your position on the effect PMCC has had in nursing education, as well as the outcome of the theory being utilized. Requirements 1 page in length. APA format, with correct spelling and grammar. Reference one article that is less than five years old and include a working URL link to the full text of the article.

Do you agree with the main points of the article? (you don’t have to). If you agree, what are one or two points that resonated most? If you don’t agree, what specifically don’t you agree with, and what do you observe to be different?

Please begin by reading this short article on High-Performing Teams: https://hbr.org/2017/08/high-performing-teams-need-psychological-safety-heres-how-to-create-it Next, answer the following three questions: 1) Do you agree with the main points of the article? (you don’t have to). If you agree, what are one or two points that resonated most? If you don’t agree, what specifically don’t you agree with, and what do you observe to be different? 2) After describing Psychological Safety, the author discusses six ways a manager can increase psychological safety on their team. As you think about your own management style, how would you rate yourself on each of the six? Is there one area you’d like most to improve? 3) If you had to identify a seventh way to increase psychological safety or otherwise increase team effectiveness, what would it be? Submit your responses in a 2-3 page document, double-spaced. Please copy and paste the questions and write the answer beneath each one.

What was the question being answered or addressed by this research report? What method or methods were used to address/answer the research question

Thread Prompt: This module/week, watch for media presentations that use some kind of research as part of the presentation. This could be television, radio, internet, a live presentation, or some other kind of presentation. This part of the assignment is designed to help you realize how often research concepts are presented in everyday life. You may use something that you noticed earlier during this course as well; it does not need to be confined to this module/week necessarily. Do not use fictional sources.Describe the presentation you saw or heard during the preparation phase of the assignment.Critique the presentation from the perspective of research methodology. Identify at least 3 issues/features that relate to research. Use any of the research concepts from the textbook, presentations, or other course discussion.Create your own appropriately worded heading (use proper levels of headings) to introduce the kinds of issues/features that you critique.List the appropriately formatted citation and reference for your source. Here are examples of the kinds of issues/features you might critique:What was the question being answered or addressed by this research report? What method or methods were used to address/answer the research question? How appropriate and effective the methods seem to be.Are there legal concerns? Are there ethical concerns? Is the research report intended to be generalized? If so, can these results be appropriately generalized to a broader population? Are there issues related to validity or reliability, and if so, how are these issues addressed?Any other issues that you would like to address. You do not need to write about all of the examples above; this list is to give you an idea as to how to begin. You may also write about other issues as well.

What can Pareto efficiency tell us about the fairness and equality of allocations?

BACKGROUND AND QUESTIONS In the Indian state of West Bengal many farmers work as sharecroppers (bargadars in the Bengali language), renting land from landowners in exchange for a share of the crop. The traditional contractual arrangements throughout this state varied little from village to village, with virtually all bargadars giving half their crop to the landowner at harvest time. This had been the norm since at least the eighteenth century. However, because of the extreme levels of deprivation among the bargadars many thought this was unfair. In 1973, 73% of the rural population lived in poverty, one of the highest poverty rates in India. In 1978, the newly elected Left Front government of West Bengal adopted new laws, called Operation Barga. The new laws stated that: Bargadars could keep up to three-quarters of their crop. Bargadars were protected from eviction by landowners, provided they paid them the 25% quota. Both provisions of Operation Barga were advocated as a way of increasing overall output and the incomes of the farmers. Indeed, Operation Barga was subsequently cited by the World Bank as an example of good policy for economic development. One study suggested that Operation Barga was responsible for around 28% of the subsequent growth in agricultural productivity in the region. The empowerment of the bargadars also had positive spillover effects as local governments became more responsive to the needs of poor farmers. Q1 Use your knowledge of economic incentives to explain the possible reasons for the success of Operation Barga in increasing overall output of the region and the incomes of the farmers. (3 marks) Q2 From a consequentialist perspective, was the introduction of Operation Barga ethically justified? (6 marks) Q3 Using a deontological ethical framework, construct an argument either in favour of Operation Barga or against it. (6 marks) Q4 Did the introduction of Operation Barga result in a Pareto improvement in allocations between the farmers and landowners? Explain your answer. (3 marks) Q5 What can Pareto efficiency tell us about the fairness and equality of allocations? When discussing your answer be sure to reference the specific case of Operation Barga. (4 marks) You are now asked to model the trade-off between free time and production for an independent farmer named Mamata who owns the land on which she works. If Mamata was able to work 24 hours a day she could produce 4 tonnes of rice (the principal food crop cultivated in West Bengal) each day. You are told that Mamatas utilitymaximising choice is to work for 8 hours and produce 3 tonnes of rice. Q6 Use the model of decision-making under scarcity developed in week 3 to show Mamatas optimal choice of free time and rice production. On this diagram be sure to label and define her feasible frontier, set of indifference curves and optimal choice. (5 marks) Now you are informed that Mamata is no longer an independent farmer. Instead, she works as a bargadar and rents the land on which she works from a landowner and keeps 75% of the rice that she produces (as is the case after the adoption of Operation Barga). Q7 Using your answer to Q6 as a starting point, show (on a separate model) Mamatas new optimal choice as a sharecropper. Again, be sure to label and define each of the relevant points and lines on your diagram. List each of the assumptions you made when developing your model. (8 marks) Q8 Discuss how the models developed in Q6 and Q7 can be used by economists to evaluate the fairness of economic outcomes? (5 marks)
