There is no word limit and I am not expecting a report (typically a page of writing is fine) but keep in mind the following guidelines:
What is your own personal approach/instincts to the situation?
What concepts from the book do you think of when reading the situation?
According to ethical standards what should the outcome be?
According to your own personal feelings, what would your actions be?

Dilemma
You are in a car with a friend who is driving. Your friend hits a pedestrian who was walking on the street. You know that your friend was going 50 mph in a place where the official speed limit was 30 mph. There were no other witnesses, just you. Your friends lawyers say that if you testify that your friend was only going 30 mph that you will save your friend from serious consequences.

What right does your friend have to expect that you protect him? (give a short explanation of why this is so)

MAIN POST

This week, you will submit a formal outline for your argumentative research paper, which is due next week. To help you think about outlines, you will read this reading, answer a critical question about it, and then apply the author’s ideas to how you will plan your paper. Finally, you will review three sample outlines and decide which to use for your paper.

First, for this discussion, read the following reading and answer the associated question (100+ words). Be sure to quote and cite from the reading in your response:

Second, consider how the author’s argument applies to your writing. What points can you apply, especially when it comes to planning or outlining your paper? (100+ words)

Third, review the three versions of outlines for writing. Explore the merits of each type of outline. Identify which version you believe would most support your intended major writing assignment for this course. (100+ words)

PEER POST

In 100-150 words, respond to two peers’ main posts. Examine whether each post clearly supports the peers ideas about the merits of each outline and the choice of outline format for the intended major writing assignment. Offer your ideas as to other ways of seeing the value in one or more of the proposed outline formats.

Annotated Bibliography

To be Completed Using MLA Style

Select a community problem or issue. Construct an annotated bibliography based on the community issue or problem that you have selected.

For the purpose of this assignment assume you are gathering information for an essay directed at an audience with only a casual familiarity with your topic or issue.

Assignment Requirements:

Include at least SEVEN Citations in your bibliography of which at least one book, one periodical article and one website must be cited and annotated. You are required to annotate all SEVEN of the citations you use.
Cite the source in proper MLA format. The citations should be organized in alphabetical order by author.
Follow each citation with a brief annotation, approximately 3-5 sentences is good.
Your Annotation must include a brief summary of the source, an explanation of why the source is important to your research and a statement that relates to the credibility of the author. You need to do this for all citations
