Dont overuse animation or sound. Use pictures to enhance, not dominate, the presentation. Keep your time frame in mind: usually one slide per minute works well. Use no smaller than a 20-point font on a slide if the presentation is for a smaller audience or room, no smaller than a 28-point font for larger rooms or audiences.
