Analysis of a development project Critically review the project based on the following elements: a) Background of the project b) Objectives (link this and/or goals and indicators with the MDGs) c) Goals d) Indicators e) Approaches (top-down, bottom-up, participatory, etc.) f) Stakeholder analysis g) Achievements/Results h) Monitoring and evaluation (including an analysis of the tools used) i) Expected and unexpected impacts Write a report considering the elements listed above. Expand the analysis of the case study, if necessary, using the Problem-tree tool or a SWOT analysis. Critically analyze the use of the tools and discuss whether you would have used the same tool or not and why. Analyse and justify what could be done differently. The analysis should be based on the document provided as a case study, but you are expected to use additional material for your analysis. You need to examine the whole project and all the elements from the ‘project cycle’. Structure of the report Include an introduction, a discussion section and a conclusion. Include a cover page, with the title of the project, your name and student number. Use Harvard or APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style. The marking criteria provides information on how this project will be assessed.
