This paper will entail a review of seven scholarly literatures/academic journals on Self Control Theory (Gottfredson & Hirschi) and juvenile sex offenders. Self Control Theory focuses on family structure and childhood upbringing. A lack of this can potentially lead to juvenile delinquency and a life of crime all together to include juvenile sex offenses. Juveniles commit a significant number of sex crimes. Paper should argue that without elements within self control theory, this is one of many crimes that may occur. Include important aspects of self control theory, statistics of juvenile sex offenses, trends, rehabilitation rates, recidivism, and overall prevention methods…there are no limits. This paper should be organized to defend a CLEARLY-STATED THESIS STATEMENT. Paper should demonstrate conceptual clarity, be well organized, exhibit precise footnotes and references, bibliography, and be well written.
