It is important to study the Stanford Prison Experiment because it is considered one of the most unethical experiments ever conducted.
The availability of a documentary produced by the project leader, Phillip Zimbardo himself, is due to the rigorous documentation taken place during the experiment, and provides us with the opportunity to not only talk about the experiment, but to watch it.
It is important to understand that this experiment talks about humanity. It demonstrates that we are all capable of behaviour that we may not think possible, but that we do not have to choose that behaviour.
For this assignment you will be outlining as much as you can about the Stanford Prison Experiment, conducted by Phillip Zimbardo in 1971.
