survey of literature:
Im industrial engineering student doing a capstone as my last year project in the university. We are basically working with a company that manufactures and distributes Cables. In the company they have a problem in the delivery performance due to listed problems below. I am part of group of five and we are writing the project proposal to our professor. My part in the proposal is to write survey of literature 2.5-3 pages to know how we can solve our problems based in other companies solutions or methods.
Based on our company problems, what solutions can we take from other companies to solve our problem?
What are other companies do when the have a problem in the delivery performance? (our company delivery performance is low and its our main problem)
What are other companies do when they have a lot of machine breakdowns? (our company have a lot of breakdowns) (do they have to change the machine or do more maintenance to keep the machine work properly)
Whats the behave of the employees when there is no supervisor watching them? (our company employees dont have a supervisor watching them)
Are the machines have to be at the same rate all the time or they should go from fastest to lowest or the other way? (over processing, the machines rate is not optimal which causing a bottleneck)
What solution we can do to reduce the high defect rate? (our company have a high defect rate)
