1. Paper Content:a. Choose a disease or medical condition that interests you. Avoid internet websites written for the layman (Wikipedia, science news, newspapers, etc.). You may not use your textbook.c. To find primary research literature begin with the core databases in the biology subject research guide or Google scholar. Do not pay to access any articles.3. Writing Guidelines:a. Write in a succinct and straightforward manner, in the past tense using a mostly formal tone, WITHOUTpersonal statements (i.e. I really learned a lot while researching this topic.).b. Paper must be double-spaced, 12-point font, 1-inch margins.c. Do not include any figures or pictures.d. Cite all references using the APA or CSE name-year style using both in-text citations and a bibliography atthe end of the paper.e. You must provide in-text citations of all sections that you paraphrase in your paper. Do not use directquotes in your paper (as this is not common practice in scientific writing) but rather paraphrase information in your own words and then provide an in-text citation to give credit to the source text.
