This paper should address the biblical foundations of Western Marriage (marriage as Creation Mandate, Legal relation, covenant, new testament teaching, etc), written in active voice. If possible could one of the references (sources) be the book: “From Sacrament to Contract: Marriage, Religion, and Law in the Western Tradition” by John Witte Jr.?
