To provide evidence-based information and education for parents regarding their decision to choose or refuse circumcision for their male newborn baby. This includes all the risks, benefits, outcomes and alternatives for circumcision. The writing uses key words like informing, counseling, information providers to indicate the goal of attaining knowledgeable decision making. The parents decision affects the ethics of nonmaleficence, beneficence, and thus the acts provided to their newborn baby. The Mid-Wives must also choose to demonstrate their abilities and expertise to participate in circumcision and promote family centered care.
