1) What is the placebo effect? Explain what role it plays in randomized controlled trials for psychotropic medication. Why might a patients symptoms improve when he/she believes they are receiving an effective treatment?
2) From a Christian perspective, discuss a biblical example of when someones faith or belief helped bring about healing. Include scripture as a support for your example.
3) Do you believe there is an overlap between the power of belief alluded to with the placebo effect and the power of faith presented in the bible? Why or why not?
