This is the second paper I have requested on this topic. The first one (title=Cultural Aspects of Mariachi Music) was worthless. I got an etymology of the word mariachi, I got a history of the Mariachi, I got something about the Mariachi in the US. I did not get anything about the cultural aspects of Mariachi. You can take one of two approaches. 1) What Maricahi say about Mexican culture or 2) Why Mariachi is a cultural icon of Mexican culture.
