You will submit an essay (up to five pages) on your field observation experience. Integrate the following items in your essay submission.
1) Where did you observe? Who or what did you observe in that data setting? Why did you think that this group/location were appropriate to progressing your prospectus research interests?

2) Regarding reflexivity, did there come a time when you had to manage, consider, and/or reflect upon any pre-suppositions taken into the field with you? Share the experience, if applicable.

3) From what or where did you draw meaning in your data setting? The events around you? Conversations? People/interactions? Any noteworthy information or disclosures that particularly struck you during the experience that youd like to share?

4) IMPORTANT: How might this field experience influence your future approach to your prospectus? For example, are there questions, observations, insights, etc. now evolving that you had not first considered? Further, how might you attempt to address these evolving considerations? Adding a question or line of questions when interviewing subjects? Revising your statement of purpose? Adjusting your review of the literature? My point: How might your original research path change, given this field research experience?
