Analyze three groups comparatively in the post-Revolutionary period in the United States: Latino Americans, Native Americans and Asian Americans. While each category certainly inscribes multiple ethnic groups, this essay should focus on how these groups are formed in relation to new social policies, and comparatively against each other. Begin by applying questions of “nationality”/citizenship to each group after the Naturalization Law of 1790 is federally established. How will this law uniquely establish differences across groups? In particular, how do historical contexts of indigenous identity (for Native Americans), annexation (for Latinos) and immigration (for Asian Americans) make these groups different from both white and African Americans, but also different from each other? Next, using explicit evidence from the Zinn chapters and the assigned Takaki chapter, discuss how labor and legislation separated these groups from each other. Be sure to include treaties and land allotment strategies–particularly for Native Americans and Mexican Americans. (Hint: Do not forget the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (Links to an external site.)) and other policies to argue that race is constructed by social institutions. Bonus points if you can include arguments of gender as well (check out the Asian American “bachelor” experience as also a way that differences were constructed). Required Readings: Zinn, H. (2005). As Long as Grass Grows or Water Runs Zinn, H. (2005). We Take Nothing By Conquest, Thank God Takaki, R. (1993) Searching for Golden Mountain: Strangers from a Pacific Shore (Links to an external site.), from A Different Mirror: A History of Multicultural America. Little, Brown and Company.

Leadership and Management in Entrepreneurial and Family firms, how to prepare the second generation

Topic: Leadership and Management in Entrepreneurial and /or Family firms, how to prepare the second generation? below is the introduction of our subject Problem Statement: Entrepreneurial firms require effective leadership and management in order to succeed. This can be a challenge due to fewer resources available to startup businesses, in comparison with large corporations. Nevertheless, there are examples of many entrepreneurs who are successfully made it by leading and inspiring their teams to pursue a common goal. Leadership and management can play a significant role in any companys success. In this project, we will explore the entrepreneurial mindset, the effect of leadership and management in entrepreneurial and family companies, the difference between both and what leaders and managers need to keep an entrepreneurial firm going and developing. Rationale: For any entrepreneurial business, leadership and management are equally important. Leadership is about inspiring and influencing others to be innovative and productive while management is about structuring, organizing and assigning tasks to others. Both play a significant role in todays world. Many of the technologies and products we use and enjoy on a daily basis are the fruit of entrepreneurial innovation. Lets take Careem as an example, which was co-founded by three young men in 2012. Within 6 years, Careem was valued at over $2 Billion, and it was acquired by Uber in early 2019 for $3.1 Billion. Such growth and success would not have been possible without bold leadership. On another note, one of the key focuses within our Kingdoms 2030 vision is boosting small and medium-sized businesses and productive families, due to their important role in economic growth. In order to support this goal, we need to prepare the younger generation to take on the entrepreneurial challenge by equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed. I want you to write one page about below subject without a conclusion to the followed introduction at first page the subject is: Preparing for the second generation (want you to write about the two questions) o What does preparing for the second planning mean? (P:641succession planning) How to Successfully Prepare Your Family Business for the Next Generation o how to maintain leadership & the entrepreneurial spirit in the next generation? (P: #6 in 505, and 519 (transmitting culture)) the book is Jerald Greenberg. (2011). Behavior in Organizations, 10th Edition.

Mitigating Risk using the Lean Startup Methodology

Some startups, in particular software companies, use the lean startup methodology (LSM) by Eric Ries as a method of refining their product and customer acquisition. This week, check out the videos on LSM in https://www.udacity.com/course/how-to-build-a-startup–ep245 (they are free, but you may have to create an account if you don’t already have one with Udacity). In particular, watch the videos: “1. Before You Get Started” (you can probably fast-forward through this) “2. What We Now Know” “3. Business Models and Customer Development” “4. Business Models and Customer Development” (not a typo – this is a continuation of the previous video) I will also upload the slides and reading by Eric Ries for you to reference to answer the below questions. I will also attach my business model canvas for you to use to answer the below questions Your startup concept is based on many pieces of information, like market need. Some of these pieces of information you might know to be correct, others you might question, and others might just be wishful thinking. LSM proposes that entrepreneurs consider their startup as a resource-limited experiment (limited cash, limited time) in which to verify assumptions in their business model. As you watch the videos, ask yourself 1. On what unverified assumptions does your startup concept depend? 2. What experiments can you conduct quickly and cheaply to verify your assumptions before investing further time and money into your startup?
