Create either a memo or a PowerPoint presentation to your team in which you discuss the various possible audiences to which you will be communicating, and describe the training needs of each

You work in a medium-sized organization (200–300 people). You head a team that has been tasked with creating a training program for all employees on the usage of a new company-wide software program. Create either a memo or a PowerPoint presentation to your team in which you discuss the various possible audiences to which you will be communicating, and describe the training needs of each

Where did Converging Runway Operations (CRO) come from? Where are we at today? What can we do to improve the Arrival Departure Window (ADW)?

Where did Converging Runway Operations (CRO) come from? Where are we at today? What can we do to improve the Arrival Departure Window (ADW)? This will need to be in a summary that will be briefed to executives, must be brief, to the point, and keep their attention. I’m putting down 5 references, but this number is up to youThis link is to the NTSB’s request to the FAA to take action on their Safety Recommendations for CRO due to numerous NMAC occurrences (July 2013). The main takeaway from this is that this document calls for the establishment of Separation Standards for Converging, Nonintersecting Runway Operations. [The NTSB is concerned that existing FAA separation standards and operating procedures are inadequate to prevent such events and need to be revised to ensure safe separation between aircraft.]https://www.ntsb.gov/safety/safety-recs/recletters/A-13-024.pdfThis link contains the pdf file of MITRES Monte Carlo Simulation for Evaluating Airborne Collision Risk in Intersecting Runways.https://www.mitre.org/sites/default/files/publications/13-2900.pdfThis Monte Carlo Study was conducted at the request of the FAA in August of 2013, one month after the NTSB’s safety recommendations were submitted to the FAA. Some of the main takeaway items from this document are:The terminal environment presents an elevated risk of NMAC events: a 2011 study found that 59% of the reported NMAC events over a ten year period occurred in the airport environment.4 As previously mentioned, NMACs are considered hazardous events, for which the SMS requires a TLS of one-in-ten-million (P(event) ≤ 10-7). However, the terminal airspace presents an additional NMAC risk: in airspace above 5,000 feet an Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) can mitigate potential NMAC events by instructing one aircraft to descend and the other aircraft to climb. In the terminal area, however, the close proximity to the ground prevents one of the aircraft from being able to descend, making vertical separation more difficult. The SMS manual provides no explicit TLS for NMACs in the terminal airspace. Consequently, we conservatively apply the TLS of a catastrophic event: one-in-one-billion (P(event) ≤ 10-9).2This is where the (P(event) ≤ 10-9).2 – or one in one billion Target Level of Safety originally came from. As I mentioned before I find it disturbing that after categorizing Converging Runway Operations as catastrophic and assigning a Target Level of safety of one in one billion (highest in the NAS), that we still don’t have mandatory separation requirements. Meaning when the ADW requirement is compromised, controllers are not mandated to take action and send the converging arrival around. They have the option (at MSP at least) to do nothing, which completely eliminates any Target Level of Safety and returns the operation dependent to the original state which produced of dependence on pilot/controller reactions & caused all the problems in the first place.NTSB Safety Recommendations:https://www.ntsb.gov/_layouts/ntsb.recsearch/Recommendation.aspx?Rec=A-13-024https://www.ntsb.gov/about/employment/_layouts/ntsb.recsearch/Recommendation.aspx?Rec=A-00-035One of the many Las Vegas incidents:https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/ntsb-cites-lack-of-procedures-in-jetblue-a320-and-le-383470/ADWSome of Mitres ADW propagandahttps://www.mitre.org/publications/project-stories/decision-aid-for-controllers-helps-prevent-near-misses

State and local have received funding or equipment through these program for such a long period of time they have grown reliant on these funds to fiscally manage police operations.

For many years local and state law enforcement agencies have routinely received additional funding from sources other than local or state government in order to implement a variety of initiatives, programs, projects, and crime reduction strategies. There has been increasing concern by some people about these sources, which include: Police foundations, Federal grants, asset forfeiture programs, and the military acquisition program (DOD 1033 Program). State and local have received funding or equipment through these program for such a long period of time they have grown reliant on these funds to fiscally manage police operations. While critics have advocated ending these funding sources, law enforcement agencies are lobbying to retain them despite the increasing criticism and political pressure. Information about these programs are included in this unit.Topic:Discuss whether or not these additional funding sources are worth keeping? Are they so controversial keeping them creates such a negative effect on the public opinion of policing that it negates the financial benefit for law enforcement budget enhancement? If they are eliminated, how will the funding be replaced? If they are kept, are their ways to reduce the perceived negative aspects of the programs. You may select which funding source(s) to research, analyze, and discuss.https://www.heritage.org/crime-and-justice/report/federal-law-enforcement-grants-and-crime-rates-no-connectionexcept-wastehttps://www.baltimoresun.com/news/investigations/bs-md-ci-police-foundation-20160827-story.html

Based on the physical and logical access control models you have studied, conduct some additional research through the Walden Library and the Internet.

The CIS network of an organization comprises valuable resources in the form of hardware, software, and important information. An organization can suffer severe damage when an intruder gains access to its network resources. Therefore, an organization must strictly regulate access to its network resources.Consider the following scenario: You are part of an information security team of 3–4 personnel in a startup company. Your team has been assigned to design a policy for server room security. Each unit at your company has its own servers, which are located in a closet or computer room. The servers are also networked, so the company needs administrative controls to protect against unauthorized physical and network-based threats. Consider all threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability and not just data theft.Based on the physical and logical access control models you have studied, conduct some additional research through the Walden Library and the Internet. For this Assignment, write a 3- to 5-page paper developing a server room security policy. Include guidelines and procedures that address physical and logical access controls for the organization. Address the following points:A brief explanation of different threats that could adversely affect servers and other network resources in the server room. For each threat, explain the potential damages. At least 3 policy guidelines and procedures to implement and maintain physical controls and processes to defend against such threats. At least 3 policy guidelines and procedures to implement and maintain logical controls and processes to defend against such threats.

Evicted: Poverty and Profit in American City by Matthew Desmond . critical reading and thinking skills . respond to prompt pertaining to evicted

“many of the people featured in Evicted are facing homelessness or are one step away from it. Homelessness creates a whole new set of problems for America to solve. Read back over some of the situations in Evicted where people confront homelessness. Then, read “homelessness is everyone’s problem” (Simon Fraser University, Office fo the Vice President, Research 02 July 2009) and consider the following statement by Ben Carson, secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, on homelessness: “This is not a federal problem- it’s everybody’s problem.” How are the problems of homelessness and eviction interwined? Why are solutions for one issue important to the other? Is carson correct? Compose a thesis-driven essay in which you critically examin these two tissues and then argue what Carson means and why, citing evidence form your sources.
